Stormee White, Founder & Teacher
Hello! I’m Stormee, the teacher and heart behind Little Lights Academy.
I’m a wife and a mother of four. My husband serves our community in law enforcement, and our home is full of books, learning, laughter, and the beautiful chaos that comes with raising a family.
My path to creating Little Lights Academy has been shaped by both education and motherhood. I studied Developmental Psychology and later pursued graduate studies in Social Work, which deepened my understanding of how children grow, learn, and develop during their earliest years.
But some of the most meaningful lessons came through raising my own children — including one with special needs. That experience opened my heart to the unique ways children learn and reminded me how important patience, compassion, and encouragement are in early childhood.
In 2024, my faith became deeply personal when I came to know the grace of Christ in a new way. That season changed the direction of my life and strengthened my desire to build something meaningful for families.
Little Lights Academy grew from a nudge on my heart, to create a place where children are nurtured academically, emotionally, and spiritually while building strong foundations for kindergarten and beyond.
My hope is that every child who walks through our doors feels seen, known, and loved.

At Little Lights Academy, we believe childhood is a precious season meant to be nurtured with patience, joy, and care.
Each child is uniquely created with their own personality, gifts, and way of learning. Because of this, our classroom focuses on meeting children where they are and gently guiding them forward through encouragement and meaningful learning experiences.
Raising a child with special needs has deeply shaped the way I see children and education. It has taught me the importance of compassion, flexibility, and creating an environment where every child feels capable and valued.
